Oil Products Print

As part of a joint venture with the Petroleum & Energy Infrastructure Company Ltd. (PEI), at berth no. 1 oil products (gasoline, jet fuel and gasoil) are loaded and unloaded. The berth can accommodate tankers of up to 80,000 DWT.

The oil products are transferred to the adjacent PEI tankfarm and from there they are pumped into the national oil products network. A modern computerized system supervises the channeling of different oil products unloaded at this berth.

In April 2003, a modern filling station for tanker lorries was inaugurated. This station serves as a complimentary link for the imported oil products distribution chain to the local market.

As of January 2007 EAPC offers storage capacity in dedicated tanks for oil products. The oil products storage system is connected to Berth No. 1 for loading and unloading. The system is also connected to EAPC's filling station for tanker lorries and to PEI's tank farm.

In 2009 EAPC expanded its oil products' capabilities:
  • The storage capacity was increased to 400,000 cu.m.
  • Berth no.1 was adjusted to accommodate tankers up to 130,000 MT D.WT
  • EAPC laid an additional marine line to berth no.2, now the berth can accommodate oil products tankers in addition to the capability to handle fuel oil.
